We are published by the Science Connected organization. Our work is made possible by grants and public donations. Our editors make decisions without interference from any owners, advertisers, or interested parties.
Science Connected Magazine is the product of ongoing collaboration among science journalists, multimedia science communicators, and research scientists from a wide variety of disciplines. We use peer-reviewed research papers to fact-check and explain the science that is being delivered to the greater public because we share the belief that democracy cannot exist without an informed electorate.
Science Connected is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization with offices in San Francisco, California, USA. Our mission is to increase scientific literacy in underserved communities and the greater public by connecting people with the latest scientific research, translating science into accessible language, and debunking pseudoscience with real research findings. We are creating social justice by making information about scientific research freely available online so people can access and understand it.
Our nonprofit organization is funded primarily through donations from individuals around the world. Most donation amounts range from $5 to $500 and we are forever grateful to the private citizens who value our programs and sustain them.
