Get insights into what makes your cat tick, and everything else it does, with these animated shorts from the team behind the Simon’s Cat cartoons. In each, a veterinarian or cat behavioral biologist answers your questions about cat behavior. This is a curated selection of Simon’s Cat Logic videos.
Outdoor cats are active both day and night, but they tend to be a little more active at night. Cats conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Most cats sleep between 12 and 16 hours a day, while some cats can sleep as much as 20 hours. While asleep, cats experience short periods of rapid eye movement sleep, often accompanied by muscle twitches, suggesting that they might be dreaming.
